EU Privacy Notice (GDPR)

Privacy disclosures for residents of the European Union and European Economic Area.

This EU Privacy Notice ("EU Notice") applies to individuals located in the European Union ("EU"), the European Economic Area ("EEA"), and the United Kingdom ("UK"). It supplements our general Privacy Policy and is provided in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and, for UK residents, the UK GDPR as incorporated into UK law.

Napa Chronicle is based in the United States. When you access our Site from the EU/EEA, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.

You have the right to object to processing of your personal data based on legitimate interests. We will cease processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights.

Right to Withdraw Consent

Where processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority ("DPA") if you believe we have processed your personal data in a manner inconsistent with the GDPR. 7. How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of the above rights, please contact us at editor@napachronicle.com with "GDPR Data Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days of receipt of a valid request. In complex cases, we may extend this period by a further two months, and we will notify you of any extension.

We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not charge a fee for reasonable requests.
